Director of Children’s Ministry

Webster United Methodist, 600 N. Bompart in Webster Groves, a welcoming, inclusive congregation, is seeking a dynamic, inspiring, community-oriented individual to fill our 10 hour/week position of Director of Children’s Ministry. 

 

The ideal candidate will seek to foster a caring Christian community and build the faith of our children through creative experience and learning. He/she should be an organized, self-motivated person who cares deeply about the welfare and spiritual development of children.  He/she will need exceptional skills in nurturing children, working with parents, and coordinating with nursery and youth staff. Primary job focus is age 3 through 6th grades.  

 

The Director of Children’s Ministry must be committed to the theology and practice of the United Methodist Church, must have earned a High School diploma, though some college is preferred, and have prior experience and/or training in working in children’s ministries or working with children.
