The Chancel Choir
is comprised of dedicated volunteer singers from high school age on up who rehearse weekly on Wednesday evenings from 7:30-9:00 with Music Leader Lamar Fitzgerald. The choir prepares a wide range of music for each Sunday of the year from September through May and sings special concerts at least twice a year. No audition is required, but basic music skills are very helpful. Contact Lamar at[email protected].
The Recorder Ensemble.
Performers in this musical ensemble enjoy playing one or more of the instruments in the recorder family (soprano, alto, tenor, bass) and rehearse music from the Renaissance to the present time in a variety of styles and levels of difficulty. They play for both Sunday services approximately five times a year and perform in concerts each year.
Jam Session
is an informal gathering of singers and instrumentalists of all ages and levels of skills –always casual, always fun, always musical and always open to anyone wishing to join us. Contact Beth Anderson through the church office for more information.
The Bell Choir
In 1971, a 25-note bronze hand bell set was given to our church as a memorial to Ruth Gnaegy. Since then more bells have been added to form three octaves. These are beautiful bells with a bright sound. Several bell choirs have been formed over the years, performing not only at our church, but in concerts and festivals around the St. Louis area. Additional contributions have been made to the bell choir to enhance the storage and playing of the bells, as well as special robes and stoles for the choir members. The Bell Choir is currently inactive but could be re-activated if we find a leader
