At Webster United Methodist We Believe:

Every person has God-given worth and dignity, no exceptions.
We should bring people to faith in Jesus Christ.
Jesus came to save us from lives choked by the power of sin and death.
Only through Christ can we gain the a life rich in love, hope and joy that transcends all circumstances.
The Spirit of God is ever present and ever helping.
We don’t earn God’s grace. Grace is a gift from God to us.
We practice Open Communion – meaning all are invited to join in the Lord’s Supper.

What Is Communion?

Through the sharing of the blessed bread and cup at Christ’s table, we believe we experience the grace of God through the real presence of Christ in the sacrament of the Lord’s Supper. We practice an open table of Communion, inviting all who desire a deeper relationship with God through Christ to come. We use grape juice so that all can be included.

What Is Baptism?

As one of the two sacraments of the church, we believe that baptism is an outward sign of an inward reality. Through baptism, we celebrate that God has loved us and claimed us as we were being formed in our mothers’ wombs. Baptism is also our initiation into the Body of Christ, the church. Because we believe in God’s grace that goes before we understand it, United Methodists baptize persons of all ages.
